On the authoritarian, illiberal media: “Whether an interview is for print or the TV, the establishment media will interview you for five, six, seven hours just to pretend they talk to you. Then they’ll edit – they might even not use the footage they took, if it is too reasonable or too interesting they won’t use it at all. They always edit things to take them out of context. They never do real, long form interviews, but edit a one hour interview down to 70 seconds, and even those 70 are edited sentences, taken out of context. ”
