Prince Charles has again spoken out about the persecution Christians world wide, as he did last year at Easter. He also addressed the Christchurch mosque terror attack and spoke about forgiveness as a healing power.

To many who have addressed this issue for many years, seemingly to no avail as the mainstream media has given little attention to the massive problem that indigenous Christians face in regions such as The Middle East, it is with great pleasure that we notice Prince Charles’ efforts.

The Prince said: “Over recent years I have made a point of meeting Christians from other countries, and those of other faiths, who have been persecuted because of their faith. In many cases they have been forced to flee from their homelands. It is estimated that 245 million Christians worldwide have faced persecution. Many of them have been attacked and made homeless.” (Photo: Getty)

Christian persecution is now at genocide levels in many parts of the world, as recently stated by a report ordered by UK Foreign Secretary, Jeremy Hunt, who asserted that he felt “political correctness” is a main reason why the painful issue is not addressed in the media.

The review, led by the Bishop of Truro the Right Reverend Philip Mounstephen, estimated that one in three people suffer from religious persecution. Christians were the most persecuted religious group, it found.
Open Doors’ Advocacy Policy Officer Dr Matthew Rees says persecution and surveillance of practising Christians is a lot stricter in Eastern countries. He states that in countries such as India and North Korea, people may be killed or assaulted.

Senior Policy Officer of the Christian Persecution charity Open Doors, Dr Matthew Rees revealed how they measure the ways that Christians are persecuted because of their faith, and the persecution applies to every aspect of a Christians life.
